ArdoGreen Energy Limited is an indigenous Upstream Oil and Gas Company founded in 2021. It is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created out of the union between Ardova Plc (AP) (53.05%) and Petrodev Oil & Gas Limited (Petrodev) (46.95%) following the successful award of the PPL 203 – Olua Marginal Field (formerly OML 25) to both companies as co-leasers under the 2020 Marginal Field Bid Round (MFBR) exercise.
ArdoGreen was therefore incorporated to be the operator of the Olua Marginal Field in line with the requirements of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), formerly Department for Petroleum Resources (DPR).

History of The OLUA Marginal Field
The Olua Field is surrounded by several producing fields such as the Belema, Kula, Robertkiri and Inda fields
The field was discovered by Olua-1 vertical well on the 29th of December 1978. This solitary well was drilled to a total depth of 12,395 ft MD and encountered four (4) hydrocarbon bearing sands.
The upper zones were gas bearing while two lower zones were oil bearing. Drilling was completed in February 1979 and the well was suspended. The Olua field has never been on production, no PVT samples have been collected and no production tests carried out.
