Background
Emmanuel C. Ijekhuemen commenced his career as a rigless workover and perforation engineer with Oildata Wireline Services Limited and has over time acquired cross-functional, multi-industry management experience, cutting across strategy development and planning to process reengineering/review, organizational culture transformation, programme and change management, working in increasingly senior roles in management teams of various organizations in Nigeria and since 2008 as an Executive Level Manager in the Nigerian and Ghanaian Oil and Gas Service Market.
Between 1999 and 2002, Mr. Ijekhuemen was a Project Stream Leader in a comprehensive value for money audit of Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Joint Venture Operations for the period 1991-1996. He was also a member of a two-man team that conducted Project Look-Back and Bench Marking studies of selected JV Projects and Facilities. Since 2004, Mr. Ijekhuemen has been involved in Major Organizational Transformation and Restructuring Projects, both as an external change agent on PwC restructuring teams at Dangote Group, Zenon Oil, Notore Chemicals etc., and as an internal change agent at Access Bank Plc., Amazon Energy Limited and Brila Energy Group.
Mr. Ijekhuemen’s Oil and Gas Service Experience, culminated in full P&L roles overseeing companies such as Amazon Energy Limited, Indexbrook Limited and Hyprops Nigeria Limited in the Strategic Sourcing, EPC and Facilities Operations and Maintenance Space in Nigeria and Ghana since 2013. Mr. Ijekhuemen counts amongst his experience critical projects across land, swamp, offshore and deepwater locations including the Obiafun, Obrikon-Oben Gas Pipeline EPC Project (the largest pipeline by diameter in west Africa), Integrated Operations and Maintenance Contracts for SPDC Brownfield Facilities, Offshore Engineering Services, NLNG Train 6 Shutdown, Overhaul and Upgrade of Topside Facilities on NPDC’s FPSO Mystras, SPDC Diving and Underwater Maintenance Services.
Outside of his Oil and Gas Service Contracting Experience, Emmanuel Possesses deep knowledge of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Upstream Market and has been a member of various strategic asset acquisition teams since 2002, including the Marginal field bid round of 2001 the CNL Asset Divestment Program for OMLs 52, 53 and 55 as General Manager of Pasadena Exploration and Production Company Limited.
Mr. Ijekhuemen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin, a Black Belt in Transactional Six Sigma, a Customer Service Trainer’s License from the Service Quality Institute and is a Member of the Institute of Directors and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria
